Lakes, A Love Affair is a new film, available on DVD, of some of the the most beautiful vistas in Minnesota. Breathtaking footage shot from the water, the shore and the air set to a moving musical score. This film features an orginal poem by Carol Muske-Dukes, a Minnesota native and the Poet Laureate of California.
Produced, directed and narrated by Kerry McNally, an award winning broadcaster, voice over artist and private pilot, this film captures the essence of why we are naturally drawn to our lakes and endure such arduous winters longing to see them again come Spring.
“This is a completely organic project that began with the simple desire to see as many of Minnesota’s lakes in one summer as possible. As the process evolved, I discovered that all around us are these remarkable scenes being played out.
The real work is gently sifting through the hours and hours of footage in search of those precious vignettes. I am so excited to share this vision of what I truly believe is one of the most visually captivating places on earth.”
